Rome2rio makes travel planning easy. We are a door-to-door travel information and booking engine, helping you get to any location in the world. We have estimated prices, journey durations and booking details from over 5,000 companies in more than 160 countries – making us one of the top online travel resources used globally. Click here to view the forms of transport displayed on Rome2rio.

Transport Search

To begin your transport search using our website or app, enter your origin and your destination before clicking ‘Search’ or ‘Find Transport’. You can use any address, landmark, hotel, city, region or country. For the best results, we recommend being as specific as possible.

The key to finding additional transport information is to click on the interactive menu. This is where you will find relevant information for your trip, such as specific methods of transport, journey times, price estimates, operator details and booking websites.

 Adding Multiple Stops

To create an itinerary with multiple stops, you must use our mobile or desktop website. This feature is not available on our app. Simply click on the + symbol to add another destination.

To remove a destination, simply hit the X button at the end of the search box.

To change the order of your itinerary, simply click and drag a destination until it is in the correct order.

Saving Your Trip

If you are spending valuable time creating your ideal Rome2rio itinerary, you can save it for future use. Click on “Save trip” on the top-right corner and you will be prompted to create an account or sign-in to an existing account.

To view a saved trip, login to your account and click on the star icon.

Favourite trips

At this stage, it is not possible to give your itinerary a name, but we are aware this is a popular request and are working on it.

Sharing Your Trip

To share your trip with your friends and family, click on “Share” on the top menu and choose from Facebook, Twitter or email.

Language, Currency & Distance Selection

Rome2rio is currently available in six languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Because we strive to provide the highest quality translations for our non-English speaking audience, we’ve made the difficult decision to remove Chinese, Russian and Polish translations from Rome2rio.

In addition to this, you can view transport costs in 43 major currencies and distances can be amended to kilometres or miles. To view these options on our website, click on the settings wheel in the top menu.

Changing the Map View

To view the full potential of Rome2rio, you can display our transport coverage by selecting ‘Transport’ in the bottom right-hand corner of the map on our website. This map will show routes operated by train, bus and ferry. To return to the standard map, click on ‘Road’.

Looking for direct flights to your favourite destination? Are flights fully booked and you need to find the next closest airport? Using our website, click on the word FROM in the search box to reveal all the nearby airports and direct flights.
